Best used sports car for 2020

carsales has announced its best used cars for 2020, and the best sports car is…

Sports cars have enduring popularity among enthusiasts and luxury car buyers, but global sales are waning as people increasingly look for functionality over fun.

Make no mistake, there are still fans out there, and they’re perfectly content to own a car tasked primarily with putting a smile on their dial.

In the main, these buyers are in the market for convertibles and coupes, rather than hot hatches or muscle cars.

Sports cars should have two doors only, say the purists.

These days, buying a used sports car doesn’t have to mean trouble for the owner on a budget.

The modern sports car, provided it’s correctly maintained and not thrashed and trashed every waking moment, will last as well as any light hatch or small SUV.

For the 2020 carsales Best Used Car Awards, proudly presented

1931 Pierce Arrow touring car rebuilt into award winner | Community

Ron Blissit restores other people’s automobiles, but he won’t do it for just anyone. The owners have to understand cars and preferably not be an attorney-at-law. One of Blissit’s latest completed projects is a 1931 Pierce Arrow touring car.

The automobile was brought to his Norman shop by San Antonio patent lawyer Ted Lee. He had to convince Blissit that he wasn’t an ambulance chaser and worked only in intellectual property rights. Now, the pair are friends. Not only that, they co-own the Pierce Arrow with an unusual possession pact.

“The car is part mine now,” Blissit said. “We came to an agreement that if I would restore the car, when it was finished, he would leave it with me. If he died first, it was my car, and if I died first, he’d come and get it.”

Lee had acquired the Pierce Arrow, along with some other vintage cars,

The last surviving Blackburn Beverley Transporter Aircraft earned the biggest sum, selling for £21,000.

Auctioneers would not disclose the total sum raised by the 1,048 lots, but said it was a “six-figure amount”.

The Blackburn Beverley, which was one of 49 built in the 1950s in Brough, near Hull, was bought by a local buyer who has access to a private airfield.

When it entered service, it was the largest aircraft in the RAF and could

2 or more cars belonging to the same household is something quite common across the United States. Families with multiple cars should opt to insure all of them under the same contract. This provides the following benefits:

  • Fewer documents and bills to deal with. All vehicles are insured on the same policy and this will save time by meeting with just one insurer and completing one policy.
