President Donald Trump was headed to the hospital Friday after he and first lady Melania Trump tested positive for COVID-19, following the announcement that his top adviser, Hope Hicks, tested positive.

Vice President Mike Pence and his wife Karen tested negative for the virus Friday morning, as did Ivanka Trump, senior adviser Jared Kushner and Barron Trump.

Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden and his wife Jill tested negative, hours later. 

Pfizer’s CEO cried out against “political pressure” in the development of their COVID-19 vaccine, invoking Trump’s repeated assertions that a vaccine would be approved prior to Election Day.
