HALIFAX, Nova  Scotia,  Oct. 13,  2020  (GLOBE NEWSWIRE)  --  Erdene  Resource
Development Corp. (TSX:ERD;  MSE:ERDN) ("Erdene" or  the "Company")  announces
that the European Bank for  Reconstruction and Development (“EBRD” or  “Bank”)
has exercised its conversion option in respect of its US$5 million convertible
loan (“Convertible  Loan”)  with  the Company.  Following  conversion  of  the
Convertible  Loan,  the  EBRD  owns  and  controls  30,043,290  common  shares
representing approximately 11.2% of the  issued and outstanding common  shares
of the Company.

Erdene is  also  pleased to  provide  a  project update  for  its  100%-owned,
high-grade, open-pit Bayan Khundii Gold  Project (“Bayan Khundii” or “BK”)  in
southwest Mongolia.

Rare gold coin of Md Ghori up for auction in London

An extremely rare early 13th-century Islamic coin bearing the sole name of one of the forerunners of Muslim rule in India – Sultan Mu’izz al-Din Muhammad – is going under the hammer in London on October 22 and is estimated to fetch between £2,00,000 and £3,00,000 (Rs 1.89 crore and Rs 2.84 crore.)
The pure gold coin was issued by Sultan Mu’izz al-Din Muhammad, also called Muhammad Ghori.
The large coin from the Ghorid dynasty will come under the hammer of specialist auctioneers Morton and Eden.
Mu’izz al-Din Muhammad was born in Ghor, now the heart of present-day Afghanistan.
Together with his elder brother, Ghiyath al-Din Muhammad, they created a vast Ghorid empire stretching from northern India in the east to the margins of the Caspian Sea in the west.
It is Mu’izz al-Din’s successful campaigns in India for which he is most well-known today.

Man cheated by lure of cheap gold, robbed | Ahmedabad News

Ahmedabad: A 53-year-old man from Vastral, Bharat Patel, who runs an engineering unit at his house lodged a complaint at Ramol police station on Thursday alleging that six persons — of whom four were later identified as Iswharpuri Goswami and Pradeep Gordhan Kachadia of Ramol, Shailiesh Thakor of Narol, Ankur Bhupendra Patel of Hathijan— cheated him using the lure of gold biscuits at lower-than-market price.
The offence took place in July but one of the accused who had introduced the others to the complainant promised him to his money back. The complainant then waited, but later he approached Ramol police.
Investigators said they have arrested four of the six persons accused for a similar offence a fortnight ago and they are in judicial custody. “We are hunting for the two remaining accused and will question the suspects in the jail about them,” said K S Dave, inspector of Ramol police

The State Bank of India (SBI) has announced a slew of special festive offers to its retail customers. The country’s largest lender has given a 100 per cent waiver in the processing fee of personal, car and gold loans if applied for through its YONO platform.

“There would be a complete waiver on processing fees on home loans for homebuyers in approved projects.
